“SECRET SAUCE” FROM MCDONALD’S (the real thing, 1 cup, enough for 8 burgers)

 

This “top-secret recipe” has been public information since 1970, when it was leaked from a McDonald’s Manager’s Handbook published in 1969. It was meant to be used only as an emergency recipe for restaurants that ran out of the pre-made sauce used on the Big Macs.  McDonalds quickly removed the page to prevent theft by other burger chains, but it was too late…..

¼ cup Miracle Whip salad dressing

¼ cup mayonnaise

3 tablespoons French salad dressing

½ tablespoon sweet pickle relish

1-1/2 tablespoons dill pickle relish

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon dried, minced onion

1 teaspoon white vinegar

1 teaspoon ketchup

1/8 teaspoon salt

1. Mix all ingredients, and stir well in a small container.

2. Microwave on high for 25 seconds, and stir well again.

3. Cover, and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
