EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA SAUCE

EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA SAUCE (about 2 cups)

1 cup distilled white vinegar

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon hot sauce

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

½ teaspoon paprika

 


 

1. Combine vinegars, sugar, chile flakes, hot sauce, salt, pepper and paprika in a storage container.

 

NOTE: This is traditional with North Carolina pulled pork barbecue sandwiches.
