OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Vegetables, corn on the cob, boiled, with sesame butter

¾ stick unsalted butter, softened

2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

2 tablespoons minced chives or scallions (green onions)

2 teaspoons sesame oil

2 teaspoons soy sauce

freshly ground black pepper to taste

  1. Stir all ingredients together in a small bowl until smooth.
  1. Cook corn in a large pot of boiling water until crisp tender, 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer to butter mixture and toss.
